Your property already gives guests every piece of information: the binder in the room, the welcome book, the sheet with the opening times. Nobody opens them. Not because the information is missing, but because it all arrives at once, at the wrong moment.
It is in almost every room: a folder, a laminated booklet, forty pages that cover everything. Breakfast times, the reception number, the beaches, the restaurants, the pool rules. It is every property's honest attempt to give guests all they need. And the guest skips past it in the first minute.
It isn't their fault, and we all do the same. Forty pages at once are not information: they are noise. On arrival a guest wants to know one thing only: where the room is and what time breakfast starts. Everything else, the part they will actually need, is buried in there. By the time they need it, the binder is already shut away in a drawer.
The binder in the room knows everything. That is exactly why nobody opens it.
The same guest, in the same room, wants different things depending on the hour. They don't need everything: they need the right thing, now.
That is the difference, and it is the whole of it. The information you already have, the same as in the binder, Cortése doesn't pile up in forty pages: it brings it to the surface when it is needed. At breakfast, breakfast appears. Mid-morning, the local area. In the evening, the aperitivo. The guest leafs through nothing and asks for nothing: they open their phone and the right thing is already there.
And there is a second effect, at reception. The questions you usually get (what time is breakfast? where can we eat good fish? how do I book a sun lounger?) can come less often, because the guest found the answer at the very moment they wondered. Fewer interruptions for your staff, more time for the guests who really need it.
